Job Title: System Administrator

Reporting Relations: Report to Operations Manager
Work closely with Operations team
Summary:

To carry out the specific maintenance and administrative tasks as listed. Responsible for identifying and reporting any errors or anomalies to Operations Manager and assisting in troubleshooting and implementing solutions as required.

Job Description:

Perform tasks such as but not limited to

  • System Administration
  • Network Administration
  • Telephone Administration
  • New hardware, software and infrastructure recommendations
  • Conduct a market research for economic pricing of hardware and software and responsible for purchase when required
  • Installation and relocation of computers and software
  • Technical trouble shooting
  • Class room readiness –Technical area
  • External and internal instructor support
  • Provide technical support to all users in using ‘HelpDesk’
  • E-mail administration including mailbox and address maintenance, content monitoring / spam control functionality, remote mail functionality
  • User administration including maintenance of user accounts, group memberships and file permissions, in accordance with existing IT procedures
  • Acting as a liaison and point of contact for HR and departmental management for user account creation, maintenance and deletion.
  • Data backup and disaster recovery
  • Staying current with definitions and patches for Anti-virus, operating system patch, web activity monitoring, and related applications
  • Supporting & troubleshooting basic network connectivity for PC and non-PC equipment (machines, clocks etc.).
  • Administration and maintenance of other systems as required.
  • Ultimately responsible for keeping network clean, virus and spy ware free.
  • Determine hardware specifications for future projects. Source and purchase parts

Education:

  • Completion of a two-year diploma/ Certification in related discipline.
  • Completion of undergraduate degree in Information Technology or a related discipline (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc.)
  • Certification Desired – MCITP Enterprise Network Administrator designation
  •  A+ Comptia hardware designation
  •  Linux+ Comptia OS designation
  • PMP PMI Project Management Professional

Experience:

  • Experience working in corporate office
  • Experience administering networks.
